How was our NPS software developed?

Satmetrix is one of the three co-inventors of the NPS® (Net Promoter Score), together with Fred Reichheld and the management consultancy Bain & Company.

  • Fred Reichheld had observed since the 1980s that companies with a strong focus on customer satisfaction were more successful than other companies. However, he found out that none of the previous indicators could really measure customer loyalty.
  • He researched this paradox at Harvard University and developed the NPS together with Bain & Company and Satmetrix.
  • Satmetrix provided the NPS software.
  • Since 2003, companies have used the know-how of our NPS software to understand what customers really want and to grow profitably.
  • The NPS has become a globally recognized and leading KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for measuring AND improving customer focus, achieving customer loyalty.
